M21 – History of Kelantan

By Shaharil Talib

243pp. Size: 140 x 220mm. Softcover.

1995

Shahril Talib’s history of Kelantan explores the political and administrative development of Kelantan between 1890 and 1940. His meticulous documentation of the changes affecting Kelantan, and his account of the transition from a Siamese vassal state to a British protectorate helps readers understand how Kelantan’s past contributes to its current situation as a state that does not fall in line with voting trends in other parts of the country.
